费萨尔·穆罕默德于2014年10月26日被阿卜杜拉·亚明·加尧姆总统任命为马尔代夫驻华大使。这是他第一次出任驻外大使，此前曾任外交部部长助理。费萨尔·穆罕默德先生于1992年加入总统办公室，2003年曾任总统办公室副主任，2006年任办公室主任。在任职于总统办公室期间，费萨尔大使曾服务于外交关系处、环境处、政策处和内阁秘书处。2008年离开总统办公室后，费萨尔大使继续其学业，并于2012年加入马尔代夫驻联合国办事处，任常驻协调办公室主任，此后任职两年直到2014年。

Faisal was appointed as Maldives Ambassador to China by President Gayoom in 2014. Before that, he served a short period as Additional Secretary at the Foreign Ministry. He joined the President’s Office in 1992. In 2003 he was promoted to Assistant Director and in 2006 appointed as Director General. He served in the Foreign Relations section, Environment section, Policy division and Cabinet Secretariat. He joined the Maldives office of the United Nations as the Head of the Resident Coordinator’s Office in 2012.
