Since the launch of the Aspiration and Mission education campaign, General Secretary Xi Jinping has convened meetings, conducted investigations and studies, and issued instructions in this regard……always putting the education campaign high on his agenda; with this, the education campaign among the Party members has gained a strong political underpinning to proceed smoothly.

要采取多种形式，深入开展革命传统教育、形势政策教育、先进典型教育和警示教育，增强学习教育针对性、实效性、感染力。要宣传那些秉持理想信念、保持崇高境界、坚守初心使命、敢于担当作为的先进典型，形成学习先进、争当先进的良好风尚。
More means need to be employed to educate Party members and officials on our revolutionary traditions, our current situation, and our policies, and to introduce role models on the one hand and cases that can serve as a warning on the other. All this needs to be more targeted, effective and appealing. We need to tell the stories of role models who hold fast to the Party’s ideals and convictions, remain true to its original aspiration and founding mission, and readily take on responsibilities, so as to encourage Party members and officials to learn from them and become role models themselves.
自觉同人民想在一起、干在一起
Think and act in the peoples interests
重点是教育引导广大党员干部坚守人民立场，树立以人民为中心的发展理念，增进同人民群众的感情，自觉同人民想在一起、干在一起，着力解决群众的操心事、烦心事，以为民谋利、为民尽责的实际成效取信于民。
The key is to guide Party members and officials to always put the people first, seek people-centered development, forge closer ties with the people, and think and act in the people’s interests. We need to focus on the people’s concerns, and gain their trust by working for their benefit.
练就担当作为的硬脊梁、铁肩膀、真本事
Brave the storm, hone their skills, and enhance their capabilities
广大党员、干部要在经风雨、见世面中长才干、壮筋骨，练就担当作为的硬脊梁、铁肩膀、真本事，敢字为先、干字当头，勇于担当、善于作为，在有效应对重大挑战、抵御重大风险、克服重大阻力、解决重大矛盾中冲锋在前、建功立业。
To become mainstays of the Party our members and officials must face the world, brave the storm, hone their skills, and enhance their capabilities. They should be men and women of courage and action, knowledgeable and ready to take on responsibilities. They should lead the charge in the face of major challenges, risks, and resistance, and distinguish themselves.
保持为民务实清廉的政治本色
Serve the people and be pragmatic, clean and honest
重点是教育引导广大党员干部保持为民务实清廉的政治本色，正确处理公私、义利、是非、情法、亲清、俭奢、苦乐、得失的关系，自觉同特权思想和特权现象作斗争，坚决预防和反对腐败，清清白白为官、干干净净做事、老老实实做人。
The key is to guide Party members and officials to serve the people and be pragmatic, clean and honest. We need to balance work and personal life, the greater good and individual interests, right and wrong, personal favors and the law, affinity with businesses and integrity of office, frugality and extravagance, work and leisure, and gains and losses. We must fight against the pursuit of privilege in any form, prevent and combat corruption, and be clean and honest in office and daily life.
领导机关和领导干部必须做表率、打头阵
Leadership organs and leading officials must lead the charge in this education campaign
在上面要求人、在后面推动人，都不如在前面带动人管用。领导机关和领导干部带头冲在前、干在先，是我们党走向成功的关键。领导机关和领导干部要深刻认识自身的责任，时刻保持警醒，经常对照检查、检视剖析、反躬自省。
This means leading by example is far more effective than simply issuing orders or prodding people into action. Leadership organs and leading officials have always been the first to charge forward, which is the key to our Party's success. Leadership organs and leading officials must fully understand the responsibilities with which they have been entrusted, keep sober-minded,and regularly examine and improve themselves.
