2025年12月18日,海南自贸港启动全岛封关运作,标志着中国高水平开放进入全新阶段。建设海南自贸港,是以习近平同志为核心的党中央着眼新时代全面深化改革作出的重大决策,目标就是要把海南自由贸易港打造成为引领我国新时代对外开放的重要门户。

On Dec. 18, 2025, Hainan launched island-wide special customs operations, marking a new stage in China's high-standard opening up. The development of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, in view of comprehensively deepening reform in the new era. Its goal is to build the Hainan FTP into a key gateway leading China's opening up in the new era.

This episode focuses on the chapter "High-Standard Opening Up" in the Volume X of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," and takes us to the Hainan FTP—China's new hub of high-standard opening up.
