中华优秀传统文化作为中华民族精神血脉,是文化强国建设的根与魂。建设文化强国,事关中国式现代化建设全局,事关中华民族复兴大业,事关提升国际竞争力。

本期聚焦《习近平谈治国理政》第五卷“加快建设文化强国”章节,走进徽州大地,通过六百年鱼灯,看传统文化如何在创造性转化、创新性发展中焕发新生。从祠堂到春晚舞台,一盏鱼灯照见“守正不守旧,创新不离根”的时代答卷。

Outstanding traditional Chinese culture is the spiritual lifeblood of the Chinese nation — the root and soul of efforts to build China into a culturally strong country. Advancing cultural strength is integral to Chinese modernization, to national rejuvenation, and to enhancing China’s international competitiveness.

This episode highlights the section “Build China into a Cultural Powerhouse” from Volume V of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.” Traveling to Huizhou, Anhui province, we look at a 600-year-old fish lantern tradition and explore how heritage can be revitalized through creative transformation and innovation. From ancestral halls to the stage of the Spring Festival Gala, a single fish lantern tells a larger story — preserving tradition without being bound by it, and embracing innovation without losing one’s roots.
