建设交通强国是以习近平同志为核心的党中央立足国情、着眼全局、面向未来作出的重大决策部署，是新时代发展交通事业的重要指导。党的十九大报告首次提出“交通强国”，更是为我国交通的未来发展指明了方向。
“十四五”时期，我国将加快建设交通强国，完善综合运输大通道、综合交通枢纽和物流网络，加快城市群和都市圈轨道交通网络化，提高农村和边境地区交通通达深度。
