《习近平谈治国理政》第三卷生动记录了党的十九大以来习近平总书记在领导推进新时代治国理政实践中发表的一系列重要论述，全面系统反映了习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，集中展示了马克思主义中国化的最新成果。关于铸就中华文化新辉煌，总书记这样说：

The third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China vividly records a series of important statements and speeches made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, based on his experiences in state governance in the new era since the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017. It fully and systematically reflects Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and demonstrates the latest achievements in the Sinicization of Marxism. As for Chinese Culture , General Secretary Xi said: 

——深化文明交流互鉴　共建亚洲命运共同体

——Create an Asian Community of Shared Future Through Mutual Learning

一切生命有机体都需要新陈代谢，否则生命就会停止。

All living organisms must renew themselves through metabolism; otherwise, life would come to an end.

文明也是一样，

The same is true for civilizations.

如果长期自我封闭，必将走向衰落。

Long-term self-imposed isolation will cause a civilization to decline, 

交流互鉴是文明发展的本质要求。

while exchanges and mutual learning will sustain it. 

只有同其他文明交流互鉴、取长补短，才能保持旺盛生命活力。

A civilization can flourish only through exchanges and mutual learning with other civilizations. 

文明交流互鉴应该是对等的、平等的，应该是多元的、多向的，而不应该是强制的、强迫的，不应该是单一的、单向的。

Such exchanges and mutual learning should be reciprocal, equal-footed, diverse, and multidimensional; they should not be coercive, imposed, one-dimensional, or one-way. 

我们应该以海纳百川的宽广胸怀打破文化交往的壁垒，

We need to be broad-minded and strive to remove all barriers to cultural exchanges.

以兼收并蓄的态度汲取其他文明的养分，促进亚洲文明在交流互鉴中共同前进。

We need to be inclusive and always seek nourishment from other civilizations to promote the common development of Asian civilizations through exchanges and mutual learning.

文化是一个国家、一个民族的灵魂。

Culture is a country and nation's soul. 

文化兴国运兴，文化强民族强。

Our country will thrive only if our culture thrives, and our nation will be strong only if our culture is strong. 

没有高度的文化自信，没有文化的繁荣兴盛，就没有中华民族伟大复兴。

Without full confidence in our culture, without a rich and prosperous culture, the Chinese nation will not be able to rejuvenate itself. 

要坚持中国特色社会主义文化发展道路，

We must develop a socialist culture with Chinese characteristics,

激发全民族文化创新创造活力，

inspire the cultural creativity of our whole nation,

建设社会主义文化强国。

and develop a great socialist culture in China.

中国特色社会主义文化，源自于中华民族五千多年文明历史所孕育的中华优秀传统文化，

Socialist culture with Chinese characteristics is derived from China's fine traditional culture, which was born of the Chinese civilization and nurtured over more than 5,000 years;

熔铸于党领导人民在革命、建设、改革中创造的革命文化和社会主义先进文化，

it has grown out of the revolutionary and advanced socialist culture that developed over the course of the Chinese people's revolution, construction, 

植根于中国特色社会主义伟大实践。

and reform under the Party's leadership; and it is rooted in the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

发展中国特色社会主义文化，

To develop socialist culture with Chinese characteristics means developing a socialist culture for our nation-a culture that is sound and people-oriented, that embraces modernization, the world, and the future, and that both promotes socialist material wellbeing and raises socialist cultural-ethical standards.

就是以马克思主义为指导，

In developing this culture,we must follow the guidance of Marxism,

坚守中华文化立场，立足当代中国现实，

base our efforts on Chinese culture, 

结合当今时代条件，发展面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来的，民族的科学的大众的社会主义文化，推动社会主义精神文明和物质文明协调发展。

and take into account the realities of contemporary China and the conditions of the present era. 

要坚持为人民服务、为社会主义服务，

We should ensure that this culture serves the people and serves socialism.

坚持百花齐放、百家争鸣，

We should follow the principle of letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend, 

坚持创造性转化、创新性发展，不断铸就中华文化新辉煌。

and encourage creative transformation and development, so as to add new luster to Chinese culture.
