The third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China vividly records a series of important statements and speeches made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, based on his experiences in state governance in the new era since the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017. It fully and systematically reflects Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and demonstrates the latest achievements in the Sinicization of Marxism. As for risk Management , General Secretary Xi said:

当今世界正处于百年未有之大变局，

Today's world is in the midst of great changes that have nor been seen in a century; 

我们党领导的伟大斗争、伟大工程、伟大事业、伟大梦想正在如火如荼进行，

The great struggle, the great project, the great cause,and the great dream are flourishing under the Party's leadership. 

改革发展稳定任务艰巨繁重，

The tasks of advancing reform, promoting development, and maintaining stability are arduous.

我们面临着难得的历史机遇，也面临着一系列重大风险考验。

We are facing a historic opportunity and also a series of major risks and tests. 

凡是危害中国共产党领导和我国社会主义制度的各种风险挑战，

We must fight resolutely and successfully against any risks and challenges that endanger Party leadership, 

凡是危害我国主权、安全、发展利益的各种风险挑战，

the socialist system, the sovereignty, security and development interests of our country,

凡是危害我国核心利益和重大原则的各种风险挑战，凡是危害我国人民根本利益的各种风险挑战，

our core national interests and principles, the fundamental interests of our people,

凡是危害我国实现“两个一百年”奋斗目标、实现中华民族伟大复兴的各种风险挑战，只要来了，我们就必须进行坚决斗争，而且必须取得斗争胜利。

the realization of the Two Centenary Goals,and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

我们的头脑要特别清醒、立场要特别坚定，牢牢把握正确斗争方向，

We should be clear-headed,take a firm stance, and stay on the right course in major struggles. 

做到在各种重大斗争考验面前“不畏浮云遮望眼”，

In the face of any major test, we should be"unperturbed by the cloud that obscures our vision,

“乱云飞渡仍从容”。

remain steadfast while "riotous clouds sweep past”.

领导干部要有草摇叶响知鹿过、松风一起知虎来、一叶易色而知天下秋的见微知著能力，对潜在的风险有科学预判，

Leading officials should be sharp and quick in foreseeing and identifying potential threats,

知道风险在哪里，表现形式是什么，发展趋势会怎样，该斗争的就要斗争。

perceiving their locations, forms and likely trends, and resolving them as necessary.

要注重策略方法，讲求斗争艺术。

We should pay close attention to strategies and methods and master the art of struggle.

要抓主要矛盾、抓矛盾的主要方面，坚持有理有利有节，

We should focus on major problems and key aspects of these problems, and always fight for just reasons, to our advantage, and with restraint.

合理选择斗争方式、把握斗争火候，在原则问题上寸步不让，在策略问题上灵活机动。

We should choose the right methods for addressing problems, take measured approaches, stick to our principles, and be flexible on strategies.

要根据形势需要，把握时、度、效，及时调整斗争策略。

We should adjust these as the situation demands, and apply them in a timely manner, to the proper extent, and for the best results. 

要团结一切可以团结的力量，调动一切积极因素，在斗争中争取团结，在斗争中谋求合作，在斗争中争取共赢。

Moreover, we should unite all forces available, mobilize all favorable factors, and strive for unity, cooperation and mutual benefit in our endeavors.

我们在工作中遇到的斗争是多方面的，改革发展稳定、内政外交国防、治党治国治军都需要发扬斗争精神、提高斗争本领。

The problems we encounter in our work are diverse, covering reform, development, social stability, national defense, domestic and foreign affairs, and governance of the Party,the country and the military. 

全面从严治党、坚持马克思主义在意识形态领域的指导地位、

We must be brave and able to confront such problems on all fronts, including strengthening Party self-governance, upholding the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field,

全面深化改革、推进供给侧结构性改革、

furthering reform in an all-round way, pushing forward supply-side structural reform, 

推动高质量发展、消除金融领域隐患、

promoting high-quality development, eliminating hidden dangers in the financial sector, 

保障和改善民生、打赢脱贫攻坚战、

ensuring and improving people's wellbeing, eradicating poverty, 

治理生态环境、应对重大自然灾害、

protecting the eco-environment, dealing with serious natural disasters,

全面依法治国、处理群体性事件、
