2024年12月4日，在联合国教科文组织保护非物质文化遗产政府间委员会第19届常会上，“春节——中国人庆祝传统新年的社会实践”通过评审，列入联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。

On December 4, 2024, "Spring Festival — social practices of the Chinese people in celebration of traditional new year" was inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

作为中华文明的标志性文化符号，春节寄寓着中国人对美好生活的希冀，寄托了中国人的家国情怀，也体现了人与自然和谐共生、人与人和睦相处的价值理念。如今，春节庆祝活动已跨越国界，成为全球性的文化盛事。每逢春节，全球各地也开始纷纷举办各式各样的春节庆典活动。
