新华社北京7月9日电（记者梅常伟）中央军委晋升上将军衔仪式9日在北京八一大楼举行。中央军委主席习近平出席晋衔仪式。

下午4时许，晋衔仪式在庄严的中华人民共和国国歌声中开始。中央军委副主席张又侠宣读了中央军委主席习近平签署的晋升上将军衔命令。中央军委副主席何卫东主持晋衔仪式。

习近平向晋升上将军衔的中央军委政治工作部常务副主任何宏军颁发命令状，表示祝贺。佩戴了上将军衔肩章的何宏军向习近平敬礼，向参加仪式的全体同志敬礼，全场响起热烈掌声。

晋衔仪式在嘹亮的中国人民解放军军歌声中结束。

中央军委委员刘振立、苗华、张升民，军委机关各部门、军队驻京有关单位主要负责同志等参加晋衔仪式。

BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), on Tuesday presented a certificate of order to promote a military officer to the rank of general, the highest rank for officers in active service in China.

The promoted officer is He Hongjun, executive deputy director of the Political Work Department of the CMC.

Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the CMC, announced the order, which was signed by Xi, at a ceremony held for the promotion in Beijing. He Weidong, also CMC vice chairman, presided over the ceremony.

Xi extended his congratulations to the officer. ■
