习近平同志《论教育》出版发行

新华社北京9月8日电 中共中央党史和文献研究院编辑的习近平同志《论教育》,近日由中央文献出版社出版,在全国发行。

这部专题文集,收入习近平同志关于教育的重要文稿47篇,其中部分文稿是首次公开发表。

教育是民族振兴、社会进步的重要基石,是功在当代、利在千秋的德政工程。党的十八大以来,以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚持把教育作为国之大计、党之大计,坚持教育优先发展,作出加快教育现代化、建设教育强国的重大决策,推动新时代教育事业取得历史性成就、发生格局性变化。我国已建成世界上规模最大的教育体系,教育现代化发展总体水平跨入世界中上国家行列。习近平同志围绕教育发表的一系列重要论述,科学回答了“培养什么人、怎样培养人、为谁培养人”的根本问题,深化了对我国教育事业的规律性认识,对于新时代新征程办好人民满意的教育,全面贯彻党的教育方针,培养德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人,为全面推进中华民族伟大复兴提供有力支撑,具有十分重要的指导意义。

Collection of Xi's articles on education published

BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- A collection of articles by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on education has been published ahead of the country's Teachers' Day, which falls on Sept. 10.

The collection, titled "On Education," was published by Central Party Literature Press. It contains 47 articles, including some that were made public for the first time.

Xi's discourses on education are of great significance for guiding education development and the cultivation of a new generation of capable young people with sound moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility and work skills to advance the socialist cause.
